The short answer
Dots, Grok Bot and Instinct are AI agents: you hand them a task and they act in your apps and accounts. Dots live inside ChatGPT, Grok Bot works from its own app like a team of coworkers, and Instinct lives in your texts and calls. WeekCue, your AI concierge for everyday life, does the part that comes first: it notices what your week needs, for you or your whole household, and tells you before you have to ask.
Key takeaways
- Agents do what you ask. WeekCue, your AI concierge for everyday life, notices what you would forget to ask and tells you first.
- Dots live inside ChatGPT, Grok Bot works from its own app and Instinct lives in your texts and calls; all three act inside your accounts.
- WeekCue never shops, pays or signs in for you, works for a whole household, and has a free plan with WhatsApp included, plus paid plans when you want more.
Doing versus noticing
There are two kinds of help. An agent does: you give it an errand, and it opens websites, signs in to accounts and gets it done. A concierge notices: it keeps an eye on everything you have going on and tells you what needs you, before you think to ask.
Dots, Grok Bot and Instinct are three new agents. WeekCue is a concierge. They answer "can you do this for me?"; WeekCue answers "what do I need to deal with this week?". Most weeks, the second question has to be answered before the first one is any use.

What OpenAI Dots are
Dots are always-on agents from OpenAI, announced on September 29, 2026. You give your dot a goal in ChatGPT, connect the apps it needs, and it keeps working on a computer of its own between your conversations, then brings results back for you to review. You reach it in ChatGPT on desktop, web and mobile, and in Slack and Teams.
As of October 2026, Dots come with ChatGPT Pro, from $100 a month, and Business Premium, and the first rollout left out personal Pro accounts in the UK and the European Economic Area. You choose which kinds of actions a dot may take on its own and which need your approval.

What Grok Bot is
Grok Bot comes from SpaceXAI, the company behind Grok, formerly xAI. In beta since August 2026, it gives you "AI teammates", each with a name and a job, that you message from a desktop or phone app and that work around the clock on a shared cloud computer. Its own examples lean toward work: research, outreach and invoices.
As of October 2026, it is included with SuperGrok, from $30 a month, and paid Cursor plans. It is not the same as @grok, the account that replies when you tag it on X.

What Instinct is
Instinct is a personal AI assistant from Spear Street Technology that you text, message on WhatsApp or call, and that can reach out to you first. It runs everyday errands such as booking appointments, ordering groceries and cancelling subscriptions, working from a computer of its own.
As of October 2026, it is an invite-only beta for people 18 and over, with no public pricing. Early testers raised privacy questions in August 2026, and by default its terms let it use your data to train its models, with an opt-out.

Instinct
How they compare with WeekCue
All three agents need wide access to act for you: they sign in to your accounts from a cloud computer and wait for you to hand them a task. WeekCue works from far less, and it starts the conversation itself.

Where WeekCue fits: noticing, not doing
They do what you ask. WeekCue notices what you would forget to ask: the form due Friday, the pickup nobody has claimed, the dentist appointment that now overlaps with practice. It watches your calendar, notes, to-dos and household, and cues you before any of it turns into a problem.
It starts the conversation. An agent waits for a task. WeekCue sends you a short brief of what needs you, a heads-up when plans collide, and reminders when they help, in the app, on the web or in WhatsApp. You never have to remember what to ask.
It is built for a home, not a workplace. Up to six people can share one WeekCue, each choosing what the others see. A to-do or a note can go to the whole household or to one person, and everyone it is shared with can tick it off and add to it.
It needs far less of your life. WeekCue never shops, pays or signs in to websites for you, so no cloud computer holds your logins. It does not sell your planning data, does not use your planning details to train its own AI models, and does not share private planning details with advertising platforms.
It is open to everyone today. WeekCue works worldwide, with a free plan that includes WhatsApp and paid plans when you want more. No invite is needed.
Use an agent when you know the errand. Use WeekCue so you know what the week needs next.
Questions people ask
Is WeekCue an AI agent?
Not in the errand-running sense. WeekCue is an AI concierge: it keeps an eye on your calendar, notes, to-dos and household, sends a daily brief, warns you when plans collide and reminds you when it helps. Ask it in chat and it adds plans, reminders, to-dos and notes for you, but it never shops, pays or signs in to websites on your behalf.
Can I use WeekCue alongside Dots, Grok Bot or Instinct?
Yes. They do different jobs. Use an agent for an errand you can describe, and WeekCue so you know which errands the week actually needs.
Is WeekCue free?
WeekCue has a free plan and paid plans. The free Solo plan is free forever for one person, with the app, the web and WhatsApp included. The paid Concierge and Household plans add unlimited chat, heads-ups and check-ins, and Household is shared by up to six people.
Is Instant AI the same as Instinct?
If you heard about a new AI assistant that you text or call and that runs errands for you, you are most likely thinking of Instinct, from Spear Street Technology. Products with similar names, such as Instantly, a sales email tool, are unrelated.
Is Grok Bot the same as @grok on X?
No. @grok is the Grok chatbot replying in public threads when you tag it on X. Grok Bot is SpaceXAI's agent, which works on its own cloud computer and, as of October 2026, comes with SuperGrok and paid Cursor plans.
How much do OpenAI Dots cost?
As of October 2026, your first dot is included with ChatGPT Pro, which starts at $100 a month, and with Business Premium. OpenAI has said more dots and more capacity will be priced later.
Is it safe to give an AI agent my email and accounts?
It depends on the agent's controls and your settings. Look for approval rules before anything is sent or bought, a clear way to delete your data, and a training opt-out, and start with low-risk tasks. WeekCue sidesteps most of the question: it never signs in to websites, shops or pays for you.
Which is best for keeping a family week on track?
None of the three agents is built mainly for that: they do tasks you can describe. If the hard part is noticing what needs attention, like pickups, forms and clashing plans, WeekCue starts the conversation with a daily brief and a heads-up when plans collide, for one person or a household of up to six, on a free plan that includes WhatsApp.
